Hello, my name is Stellan and I conduct humanist wedding ceremonies in Bristol & Bath as well as the South West.
Should you choose me as your wedding celebrant, we will get to know each other through meetings and emails. This will enable me to design a wedding ceremony that fits in with your ideas, wishes and personal story. If you need ideas or suggestions, I have plenty to share. I create ceremonies to make them meaningful for you, your friends and family.
Your wedding ceremony will become the most unforgettable moment of your big day. It can be romantic and emotional, it can be relaxed and fun, as inclusive or exclusive as you wish. I will guide you on this journey so that your ceremony is a statement of all the most important things about your lives, love, and partnership. Your wedding day celebrations will begin with your ceremony and it will mark the start of your married life together in a significant way.
Together with your imagination and the exploration of ideas, the possibilities are boundless. You can adopt and embrace traditions meaningful to you and leave out the ones that are not. Make it your own and I will be there to help by sharing ideas, making suggestions, and guiding you through the process. Together, we can create a ceremony that is meaningful to you.

After our first conversation and if you decide to go ahead and book me, I will ask for a deposit to secure your booking. The date in the diary will be all yours as I only do one wedding per day.
I perform wedding ceremonies in Bristol, Bath and the South West. Find out more about me, My Story.
I will guide you through the planning of the ceremony providing helpful hints and suggestions as we go. We will talk about all the elements you wish to have and I will offer advice on elements such as readings, poems, the ring exchange wording and of course the vows if you wish to have them.
We will talk about how you met and fell in love “your story”, what makes you both tick, your thoughts on love and marriage and how you came to say “I do!”.
I can also offer guidance on the logistics and choreography of your ceremony, so you will be assured that everything goes smoothly. Two to three months before your wedding, I will ask you who the key people are for your ceremony so I can speak with them about their part in it.

Once we have talked about the key parts, I will then start to write the ceremony, sending you drafts as we go. I will aim to get it bang on straight away but of course, I’m always happy to tweak the wording as we go. If you want to add or change elements, we’ll work on it until it’s perfect for you.
A rehearsal is just optional but it’s very useful to figure out the logistics of people and timings. You can come by yourselves or with key members of your wedding party if you wish. I travel to wedding ceremonies in Bristol, Bath and the South West.
I know for my wedding, I really appreciated going through the main elements and visually get an idea of how things would look like. This way you can relax much more on the day and enjoy the ceremony to its fullest.
On your big day, I will arrive nice and early to make sure things are in place for everything to go smoothly. I’ll liaise with the venue, photographer, wedding planner and any readers or musicians you may have chosen. I’ll make sure everyone knows their roles and timings for the ceremony.
I will be available to you, the bridesmaids, and groomsmen for reassurance, pep talks and support. I’ll conduct your personalised joyous ceremony full of warmth, sincerity and meaning. This will set the tone for the rest of your happy day and the many years you will enjoy together.
As part of my service, I will leave you with a lovely bound copy of your ceremony script to remind you of your fabulous day.
